The idea behind

We believe system connections can turn waste into resource. Every day, valuable materials are discarded simply because there is no better use for them. Healthcare waste is treated as a disposal problem, while construction continues to consume vast amounts of new resources. Sustein exists to connect these two worlds. By giving single-use healthcare materials a new life as high-performance products for the built environment, we create value from what already exists. We start where others usually stop.

WHAT

We make new architectural materials from healthcare waste: acoustic panels and thermal insulation. Around them, we build the circular infrastructure that connects healthcare waste streams with new industrial uses. Products make the system useful; the system makes more products possible

Our commitment

We recover over 70% of the waste we collect, and panels can carry 90% recycled content. It's also designed to return: mechanical fixing, no permanent bonding, so it comes out clean and goes back into the loop instead of into a skip.

Effective thermal insulation that helps limit heat transfer through walls and partitions, with performance comparable to conventional mineral wool insulation. Designed for simpler, safer handling and healthier interior spaces.

STERILIZED, THEN TRANSFORMED

Only non-infectious streams enter our process. They are sterilized to the highest standard available (99,9999%) and mechanically transformed before starting any manufacture process.

DOCUMENTED. INCLUDING WHATS UNFINISHED

Every batch traced from hospital to panel in an internal Digital Product Passport. Official fire, VOC and acoustic testing is under way. We publish results as they land, including the ones still in progress.
